A reported September 2021 security breach has led Advent Health, a large health system with around 80,000 staff nationwide, working in dozens of physician practices, hospitals, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, home health agencies and hospice centers to further warn compromised patients of potential data theft.

Personal information that could have been exposed in the incident includes names, social security numbers, state identification numbers, dates of birth, financial account numbers, medical treatment details, prescriptions, medical diagnosis and health insurance.

Advent is reportedly providing free credit monitoring and identity theft protection to those impacted, though attorneys believe victims deserve more compensation for their distress and potential future losses.
