Janney Montgomery Scott, a large American financial advisor, reported a data breach resulting from a ransomware attack against R.R.Donnelly & Sons Company. Janney, and many other companies, use Donnelly to process customer communications.

As a result of the Janney Montgomery Scott breach, the names, addresses, account numbers, account values, birth dates, and Social Security numbers of thousands of individuals were compromised. In late April 2022, Janney began sending out data breach notification letters to victims whose information was affected by the recent breach.
