The Lyon Firm is actively involved in class action personal privacy and data theft cases and is currently investigating United HealthCare data breach claims for plaintiffs nationwide.

United HealthCare has begun notifying customers about a recent data breach which allegedly allowed unauthorized access to personal information for those enrolled in United healthcare plans.

According to a company statement, “suspicious activity” was identified on the UHC mobile application which “may have led to the disclosure of member information.”

The company says that the data breach occurred between February 19 and February 25. The data involved may include members’ first and last names, health insurance member identification numbers, dates of birth, addresses, dates of service, provider names, claim information and group name and number.
