Chelan Douglas Health District in East Wenatchee, Washington has begun sending out notices to individuals impacted by a July 2021 cyberattack.

Chelan Douglas has stated that personal and protected health information of patients was exfiltrated from its network. The breach notice on the Chelan Douglas Health District website does not say exactly when the security breach was detected but says a third-party cybersecurity company was hired to investigate and determined the network was accessed by unauthorized individuals between July 2 and July 4, 2021.

The incident has been reported as affecting the personal data of around 109,000 individuals. Personal information compromised may include the following:

  • Dates of birth
  • Financial account information
  • Treatment information
