The Fertility Centers of Illinois data breach and the larger US Fertility security incident were the result of a confirmed malware infection. US Fertility says Fertility Center data was encrypted by ransomware.
Protected health information was stolen in the US Fertility attack, potentially compromising patient data, including:
- Names
- Addresses
- Dates of birth
- MPI numbers
- Social Security numbers
