PracticeFirst Data Breach

Around 500,000 individuals received a data breach notification letter from Practicefirst, alerting clients and employees of a risk that their personal data may have been compromised. The letter states the victims of the Practicefirst data breach could have had the following information leaked:

• Credit or debit card information
• Employee username and password

Practicefirst, a medical management solutions company, has said the data breach may have affected over 1.2 million individuals. It was in December 2020 when Practicefirst became aware of a security breach by an unauthorized actor gained access to its IT systems. The hacker gained access and copied files from the Practicefirst system, including patient and employee personal information.
