Roper St Francis Healthcare reported an October 2020 data breach, compromising patient data of up to 190,000 individuals. Attorneys allege security negligence for the failure to protect the private patient data.
Last year, Roper St Francis Healthcare also announced a different data beach incident, underscoring a network security issue that was not fixed in a reasonable amount of time. The company reported a phishing attack as well as a ransomware attack on its vendor Blackbaud.
Lawyers allege that Roper St Francis knew patient data was vulnerable to cyberattacks and failed to take appropriate measures.
