Stone Pigman Walther Wittmann has reported a data breach incident, which may have compromised the personal and medical information of certain individuals. Over 159,000 individuals may have have their personal data accessed. Though the company is not currently aware of any data misuse, any stolen data may end up in the hands of bad actors.

Stone Pigman Walther Wittmann released a statement noting that in late February 2021 suspicious activity was discovered on its IT systems. Stone Pigman launched an investigation with computer forensics specialists to determine what personal data may have been impacted. The investigation identified files and folders potentially accessed by the unknown data breach threat.

Types of personal information that may have been accessed in the Stone Pigman data breach event include:

  • Driver’s license number
  • Financial account information
  • Medical treatment or diagnostic information
