The Lyon Firm is investigating data breach claims related to Bienville Orthopaedic Specialists LLC. Reports suggest over 240,000 individuals may have had their personal data compromised.

In March 2023, Bienville Orthopaedic Specialists (BOS) discovered a cyberattack that impacted its computer systems. The company secured its systems and began a data breach investigation. The review concluded that there was in fact unauthorized access to BOS IT systems between February 3, 2023, and March 5, 2023.

The company determined the accessed files contained protected health information and personal information. The potentially leaked information in the files  includes name, health information and Social Security number.

On September 1, 2023, Bienville Orthopaedic Specialists LLC began sending out data breach notices to victims of the security breach incident. In total, the data of 242,986 victims was compromised.
