Radius Global Solutions Data Breach Investigation

The Lyon Firm is investigating the Radius Global Solutions data breach that may be impacting individuals nationwide. Thousands may have their personal data compromised and may seek legal action.

In early August 2023, Radius Global Solutions, filed a notice of data breach with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights (HHS), and began sending out data breach notifications to over 600,000 individuals.

Radius Global discovered that an unauthorized party was able to access the company’s MOVEit server, like many others around the country using the same technology. The MOVEit attacks are now responsible for the data leak of around 40 million people and 630 organizations.

What is the MOVEit Data Breach?

The Clop ransomware group has stolen data that includes personal details for at least 41 million individuals. The number of individuals known to be affected is likely to rise. Due to the size of the hack, it will take time to know the full scope and details of the incident.

The related Radius Global Solutions data breach was only recently announced, and the company posted a “Notice of MOVEit Data Event” on its website.

According to the notice, on June 1, 2023, Radius learned that MOVEit, a secure file transfer application used by the company, contained a critical vulnerability allowing hackers to access MOVEit servers. Radius has confirmed that certain documents were accessed and that these documents contained sensitive personal information.

On August 4, 2023, Radius Global Solutions started sending out data breach letters to anyone who was affected and should provide victims with a list of what information belonging to them was compromised.
