What is the MOVEit Data Breach?

The Clop ransomware group has stolen data that includes personal details for at least 41 million individuals. The number of individuals known to be affected is likely to rise. Due to the size of the hack, it will take time to know the full scope and details of the incident.

The related Radius Global Solutions data breach was only recently announced, and the company posted a “Notice of MOVEit Data Event” on its website.

According to the notice, on June 1, 2023, Radius learned that MOVEit, a secure file transfer application used by the company, contained a critical vulnerability allowing hackers to access MOVEit servers. Radius has confirmed that certain documents were accessed and that these documents contained sensitive personal information.

On August 4, 2023, Radius Global Solutions started sending out data breach letters to anyone who was affected and should provide victims with a list of what information belonging to them was compromised.
