Timios announced that the company detected unauthorized access to certain devices on its network between July 19-25, 2021, which resulted in the encryption of some of its data. Timios says they immediately launched a data breach investigation with the help of a cybersecurity firm.
Timios has identified unauthorized access to its systems which directly led to compromised personal information. Some personal data that may have been accessed includes the following:
- Social Security number
- Driver’s license or state ID numbers
- Passport number
- Tax identification number
- Military identification number
- Financial account number
- Payment card number
- Date of birth
