The Lyon Firm, together with co-counsel, represented the plaintiffs and the proposed nationwide class in Henderson, et al. v. Reventics, LLC, with founding attorney Joseph M. Lyon serving as counsel of record.
The case was filed in the District Court for Arapahoe County, Colorado (Case No. 2025CV30456) and arose from a data security incident that Reventics discovered on December 15, 2022. According to the settlement materials, a cybercriminal accessed and encrypted information on the company's network, and an investigation later confirmed that private information had been acquired. Reventics began notifying affected individuals in February 2023.
The settlement class includes individuals whose protected health information (PHI) or personally identifying information (PII) was potentially involved in the incident, and to whom notice was mailed.
Reventics agreed to create an $8,150,000 settlement fund. Class members who submitted a valid claim could choose one of two benefits:
The fund also covered notice and administration costs, attorneys' fees, service awards, and court-approved expenses.
The Court granted final approval of the settlement on August 15, 2025.
Reventics denies any wrongdoing, and no court has found that it violated any law. The settlement represents a resolution of disputed claims. Settlement results depend on the facts and circumstances of each case, and past results are not a guarantee or prediction of the result of any other case.
