JTM Provisions Recalls 7 Tons of Contaminated Beef

Cincinnati Recall Lawyer & JTM Recall: JTM Issued the Massive Recall for Fears of their Pulled Beef Product May be Contaminated with pieces of Rubber

Consumers in Ohio have complained of pieces of rubber in barbecued pulled beef marketed and distributed by JTM Provisions Company. As a result, JTM has recalled more than seven tons of the beef product, according to the USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service. The Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) is concerned that some of the recalled products may still be frozen and in consumers’ refrigerators or freezers, later to be consumed.

These contaminated products are potentially dangerous,  and consumers are urged to return the product or throw it away. The JTM company, based in Harrison, Ohio, distributed the barbecued beef product to Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio. The beef was produced on September 23rd, 2017. The recall notice released does not include a “Best Buy” or “sell-by” date for the recalled beef. The product is called “BBQ beef sauce with pulled beef.” U.S. Department of Agriculture’s food safety and inspection service initiated the recall, recalling 14,500 pounds of pulled BBQ Beef.

Anyone concerned with an injury or illness related to the contaminated beef from JTM should contact a medical professional and a legal professional to consider legal options. For more information about the JTM Recall, visit the safety agency’s Website.

JTM Recall & Ohio Food Recalls

In February 2018, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) issued a public health alert due to concerns about illnesses reported caused by Salmonella associated with a chicken salad product sold at Fareway grocery stores in Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, Nebraska and South Dakota. The “Fareway Chicken Salad” was sold in plastic deli containers with a Fareway store deli label.

Bob’s Red Mill Natural Foods recalled organic amaranth flour that expired more than two years ago because recent testing showed Salmonella contamination.
