JDC Healthcare Data Breach

JDC Healthcare Management LLC, the Dallas, Texas parent company of Jefferson Dental and Orthodontics, has begun notifying over one million individuals of a recent data breach event that may impact the security of some of your sensitive personal information.

In August 2021, JDC Healthcare became aware of a malware breach that impacted company systems. The company launched a data breach investigation with third-party computer forensic experts, and determined the personal data of JDC patients was compromised or stolen between July 27, 2021 and August 11, 2021.

Jefferson Dental and Orthodontics has 72 offices across Texas. According to the Texas Attorney General website, 1,026,820 individuals may have had their data leaked in the JDC Healthcare security breach. Jefferson Dental says there is not yet evidence of personal information misused, though that is a always a distinct possibility, and experts urge data theft victims to protect personal information to the best of their ability.

The Jefferson Dental and Orthodontics data breach investigation is still ongoing, but the involved JDC Healthcare systems may have contained the following types of information:
