Matthew Molony is an Associate Attorney at The Lyon Firm representing consumers in class actions and litigation involving:

Matt brings nearly a decade of experience in complex commercial litigation. His background includes managing large-scale discovery and electronically stored information in matters involving catastrophic injury, securities fraud, and other complex claims.

Before joining The Lyon Firm, Matt was a member of the team representing the SIPA Trustee in the liquidation of Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC. His work included managing substantial volumes of discovery and electronically stored information and assisting with deposition strategy. His efforts contributed to the Trustee’s recovery of billions of dollars for investors harmed by the Madoff fraud.

Matt’s approach to his work reflects The Lyon Firm’s commitment to representing individuals and consumers harmed by corporate misconduct and deceptive business practices. He believes individuals deserve meaningful access to the legal system when powerful companies cause harm and that litigation can play an important role in holding those companies accountable.

Prior Experience

Matt spent nearly nine years working on consumer fraud and complex commercial litigation matters before joining The Lyon Firm.

He earned his Juris Doctor, summa cum laude, from Salmon P. Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University in 2016, graduating fifth in his class. While in law school, he served as Managing Articles Editor of the Northern Kentucky Law Review.

Matt earned his Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, in English from Northern Kentucky University in 2013.

Matt is admitted to practice law in Ohio.

He lives in Northern Kentucky with his son and his dog, Obi-Wan Molony. In his free time, Matt enjoys golf and snowboarding.
