Update: The Lyon Firm has filed a class action data breach complaint against Guardian Analytics for allegedly failing to secure the personal information of thousands of individuals.
A Webster bank vendor, Guardian Analytics, Inc., a subsidiary of NICE Actimize (Guardian) was the target of a ransomware attack that ultimately affected personal data in the Webster database. The allegedly stolen data includes names, financial account numbers and Social Security Numbers.
The Office of the Maine Attorney General said that the breach was discovered on January 27, 2023, and that over 191,000 people were impacted.
