ProCamps, a Cincinnati, Ohio sports camp company, waited about six and a half months to disclose a data breach. A notice about the incident finally appeared on the California Attorney General's website on September 30, 2026. Contact a data breach attorney to learn more about the incident.

The ProCamps Data Breach Fling

The filing lists March 17, 2026 as the date of the breach. It does not say, however, how many people were affected, what information was exposed, or how the attack took place.

The letter template sent to CA carries the name ProHoldings, which suggests the incident may reach beyond a single brand. As of October 2, 2026, we found no public statement from ProCamps explaining the scope of the event. That can change quickly, especially if Social Security numbers or medical information are involved.

Ohio's breach notification statute generally requires a business to notify affected Ohio residents within 45 days of discovering a breach. It allows exceptions for law enforcement needs and for the time a company needs to assess the scope and restore its systems. A gap of several months does not prove a violation. It does, however, raise fair questions about when ProCamps found the problem and when it informed families.

Camp registration often collects a child's name, birth date, and address, along with parent contact details, payment information, and health forms.

We do not know which of those categories were involved, but it is prudent to take some precautions.

How The Lyon Firm can help

Whether a legal claim exists depends on the data involved and facts ProCamps has not yet shared. A notice alone does not show wrongdoing, and we make no such allegation.
